PROJECT
Santa Sousa Rare Earth Project
Paraiba State, Brazil
OVERVIEW
The Santa Sousa Project in Paraiba state covers approximately 7,901 hectares over 4 tenement packages, in the Borborema Pegmatitic Province in Northeast Brazil. The project is less than one hour from the city of Sousa, and is accessible by sealed roads. Its location means it’s proximate to skilled labour and serviced by necessary infrastructure.
This Borborema Pegmatitic Province province represents one of the world’s most important sources of tantalum, REE and beryllium. The Boqueirão granitic pegmatite is broadly widespread over the BPP and is classified as belonging to the lithium-cesium-tantalum family.
